About Right Side Support

​

Right Side Support provides practical support to individuals involved in family court proceedings, including McKenzie Friend services, document preparation assistance, court attendance, and emotional support.

Right Side Support is not a law firm, and I am not a solicitor or barrister.

 

Nature of the Service

​

As a McKenzie Friend I can:

• Provide practical and emotional support

• Help organise court paperwork

• Assist with preparing documents

• Help you understand court procedures

• Attend hearings with you (subject to the court’s permission)

• Take notes during hearings

• Help you remain organised throughout your case

I do not:

• Provide legal advice

• Conduct litigation

• Sign court documents on your behalf

• Act as your legal representative

• Guarantee the outcome of any court proceedings

 

Client Responsibilities

Clients remain responsible for:

• Making all decisions relating to their case

• Ensuring information provided is accurate

• Filing court documents on time

• Complying with court orders

• Seeking independent legal advice where appropriate

 

Fees

​

Fees are agreed before work begins.

Payment terms will be confirmed in writing.

Unless otherwise agreed, payment is required before work commences.

Court attendance and additional work outside the agreed scope may incur additional charges.

 

Cancellations

​

Cancellation terms are set out within the separate Cancellation Policy available on this website.

 

Confidentiality

​

All information shared will be treated confidentially unless:

• You consent to disclosure;

• Disclosure is required by law; or

• There is a safeguarding concern requiring information to be shared.

 

Limitation of Liability

While every effort is made to provide accurate and professional support, Right Side Support accepts no liability for:

• Court decisions

• Delays caused by third parties

• Errors in information supplied by the client

• Outcomes of legal proceedings

The client remains responsible for all decisions regarding their case.

 

Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, branding and materials, remains the property of Right Side Support unless otherwise stated.
